CHULA League

Why should YOU contribute to CHULA League?

CHULA is a 501(c)(3) organization funding community-engaging projects which
make a noticeable impact on public spaces in East Austin. We create an opportunity for artists and the community, young and old, to experience art together.

CHULA combines your contributions with money from other funding partners such as the City of Austin, Keep Austin Beautiful, and Capitla Metro. Here are some of the things CHULA has helped to accomplish through your donations:

• Supporting Maplewood Elementary School programs for arts and landscaping.
• Connecting under-served young artists with local art teachers for mutual learning.
• Creating art in public places:  funding and coordinating handpainted artist designs
  on picnic tables at Patterson Park.
• Reclaiming public spaces: funding the beautification of a formerly vandalized bus stop with funding partners.
• Greening public landscapes: contributing to a neighbor-created Butterfly Garden at Willowbrook Reach.
• Enriching public gathering places:  funding improvements to Cherrywood Green.
