Past Events
CHULA is a small organization with big ambitions for nurturing art and artful landscape. We accomplish our purpose by funding projects that are suggested by our members, and carried out by a project champion and a team of volunteers.
The money for our projects comes from membership dues, contributions, and proceeds from the annual Cherrywood Art Fair produced by CHULA.
Our budget is limited, and many times we help to fund projects jointly with many different organizations such as Keep Austin Beautiful, Capital Metro, the City of Austin, and corporations such as AT&T. With these funding partners, and the energy of project champions and volunteers, CHULA is able to help accomplish much more than the CHULA Board and members could do alone.
Projects are selected using an RFP (request for proposal) process. A list of current projects that CHULA would like to fund is available.
